54yo Mum of 2 Living Life to the Fullest

Exercise and going to the gym has been a consistent part of my life since I was in my 20s. It’s just always been something that I did, initially after a day in the office, and since having my kids after school drop off. Exercise has always made me feel good, both physically and mentally!

Things change though as we get older! My gym routine was very largely based around cardio exercise and for a couple of decades that worked for me really well.  I love to sweat it out but found as I moved well into my 40s that my cardio workouts weren’t really cutting the mustard and giving me the results that I wanted or needed.  I got a stress fracture in my tibia and had to abandon running … so I was spending a lot of time in the gym on the bike and honestly it was all becoming a bit boring …

Steve showed me that to be efficient in the gym I needed a more balanced regime.  I still get my heart pumping and now do lots more functional training and weight training.  My workouts are time efficient because he’s introduced me to ‘super setting,’ I burn the calories with my functional training and feel much stronger and have better muscle tone now that I’m using the weights.  My workouts are fun, challenging and varied … Steve has given me my gym mojo back!
