How Much Carbs Are Enough

In this recording I explain how much carbs are enough when eating low carb.

Digestible carbs become sugar

We have to remember that digestible carbs are broken down to simple sugars and we want to restrict the sugars in our blood. Once we are able lower the level of sugars in our blood, our blood sugar will stabilise and the need for insulin to remove the sugars will decrease.

So, how much carbs are enough?

Depending on the individual I would say anything between 20-50 grams per day.

We do not need the average 300grams of carbs (of which 120grams are sugar) per day that adults are currently consuming.

If we eat healthy whole foods, focus on quality proteins and healthy fats, and eat our generous servings of vegetables, we can not go wrong.
