We previously started a discussion on how self discipline influences your thought processes, breathing and hydration levels. In this recording I will talk to you about how self discipline influences your nutrition, exercise and sleep patterns.

Stick to the 80/20 principle

In you daily life, you cannot go wrong by sticking to the 80/20 principle. Eat clean 80% of the time, and relax (but do not throw all control overboard) for the other 20% of your time. If you have a specific event that you are preparing for, up the ante to 90/10.

Remember that NOTHING tastes as good as LEAN feels.

Exercising is integral to you achieving your goals. Combine it with the 80/20 principle of eating and you are well on your way to success. When you move more consciously, and you apply that consciousness to your eating and thinking patterns, it will become a reinforcing cycle in your life.

Did you know that in the gym you break down your body, and while you sleep you repair and recover? Many people go to bed so late that their bodies do not get time to repair and regenerate properly.

Most repair in your body happens between 10 pm and 2 am, whilst regeneration happens between 2am to 6am. If you do not get in bed earlier than midnight, you are robbing your body of precious repair.
