Too Much…

As you know, I send an email to you once per week

Some LOVE it – to the point of printing them out and keeping them in a binder!

Some HATE it – to the point they unsubscribe. They’re loss in my opinion.

Do you know why I email as much as I do?

There are basically 3 reasons I do it:

1. I know that happy, healthy & fit people immerse themselves in happy, healthy & fit content. They read relevant newsletters, blogs and books. They listen to podcasts and audiobooks on the subjects. The more they do it the more they alter their mind-set toward living a happy, healthy & fit life, that becomes a natural normal thing for them.

The truth is, I’d really like to provide content 3-4 days per week, but that’s a tall order for me with everything else I do so I do my best to average 1.

2. I want to share a lot of value with my subscriber list. The weekly message is a great way to do it in bite-sized chunks (vs. having to read an entire book). I also can’t decide when someone will be ready for what I have to share…the same content will have a different impact to the same person during different times in their life… so, I keep putting it out there.

I also want the ration of “deposits” (free content) and “withdrawals (selling a program) to always favour the “deposit” side of the balance sheet…so I try to get things out often.

3. Just because I write it doesn’t mean people read it. Most email marketers get a 10-15% open rate. Fortunately, I get more like 25%! But, even with that extraordinary open rate, if I only emailed once per month then on average my ‘connect’ with each person would be greatly diminished. That’s not good for them or me.

You can’t build a relationship connecting once per month. So I mail a lot…and if you don’t have time to read today, no sweat, I’ll likely be back tomorrow. 🙂

So, what about those people who say, “YOU EMAIL TOO MUCH!”

Simple. They’re not my people.
