7 Reasons Why Exercise Is Good For You

I can hardly believe that I am writing this newsletter. I know you know this. However, you know people who do not know this yet, and this newsletter is now part of your responsibility to pass on this life changing and possibly life saving knowledge.

Why is exercise good for you?

Reason #1: Exercise, especially Weight Resistance Training Burns Fat

A balanced nutrition regime combined with a carefully thought out exercise routine = Fat Burning. Another side effect of burnt fat? Increased muscle mass. Increased muscle mass means higher metabolism which results in more fat burning and so the cycle continues.

Reason #2:  Pain Relief

Understanding the principles of functional fitness and training to live life to the fullest may assist in the reduction of chronic muscle and joint pain. Strengthen your core and see how your back pain reduces. Functional fitness can protect your against injury.

Reason #3: Increase Lean Tissue

Muscle burns more calories than fat does. One kilogram of muscle burns on average 60 calories at rest, while one kilogram of fat burns only 18 while at rest. This means that your body is an incinerator even while you are sleeping.

Reason #4: To Stay Young

Tim D. Spector, a professor of genetic epidemiology at King’s College in London, led a study on the effects of exercise on aging. The results? Exercise slows the ageing process.

This should not surprise us. This topic has been the one of much research and the results stay the same. Exercise helps you stay and feel younger for longer.

Reason #5: To Prevent or Control Type 2 Diabetes

Regular exercise helps to stabilize blood sugar levels and improves the body’s use of insulin, and the related weight loss improves insulin sensitivity. If you have type 2 diabetes, please consult your doctor before contacting me.

Reason #6: To Lower Blood Pressure and Cholesterol Levels

A strong and healthy heart puts less pressure on your arteries. Exercise increases HDL levels in some people; raised HDL levels bode well for a reduction in heart disease risk.

Reason #7: To Feel Great

Regular and effective exercise not only affects your body, your mindset starts to change as well. The less tired you feel, the more active you become. The more active you are, the more your inner conversation changes to, “I can do this.” Once you start believing that you can… you CAN!

Investing in one on one time with a fitness professional is one of the ways that you can experience the results that exercise, a healthy nutrition plan, and an accountability partner brings.
