Is Diet Coke Ok?

Last weekend I went to the Britfest car show (great if you’re into cars). Whilst viewing these 4-wheeled machines with I touch of envy, I really felt like a can of coke. Now, I never usually touch the stuff. So I justified to myself saying: Well Steve, you deserve it because you’ve trained hard for the last 2 days. SOLD!

Got my coke, but only after queuing for 10 mins at the usual burger van.


I know a lot of us suffer from emotional eating/drinking and to tell you the truth it’s a real BUMMER. I mean we eat to “feel better,” but 5 minutes after, we feel 
like rubbish, PLUS we feel guilty and mad at ourselves. 

But don’t – simply stick to the adage of: ‘Everything in moderation!

Although, It’s good to be armed with knowledge.

So when I returned from the car show. thinking how long would it take me to afford an Aston Martin, I went on the internet to distract my ‘dreamland’ thoughts and researched DIET COKE.

I was shocked to find out that diet drink is a $900 BILLION industry.

I knew the drinks were popular, especially with people looking for low-calorie alternatives when trying to slim down, but…

$900 billion? Blimey

So the question is, are these drinks good for you?

Well, that’s what they want you to think 🙂

Sure, most of them have zero calories and no sugar, however…

They’re filled with artificial sweeteners like aspartame and sucralose that can be up to 2,000 times SWEETER than actual sugar.

Now, here’s where things get a bit scary…

See, right now you have trillions of cells in your belly. Good bacteria and bad bacteria, which is perfectly normal.

We all need BOTH to be healthy (yes, we even need the “bad bacteria”).

However, problems come up when the bad bacteria starts taking over and outnumbering the good bacteria…
